Our most viewed video on YouTube (over 7M). Fast and repetitive finger movements were challenging, and it was great fun to play along with the Reggaeton beat.
Under the Sea (from the Little Mermaid)
This cover shows the bright and vivid character of kalimba. Besides steel drums, one might consider adding this instrument to Caribbean music next time.
Forrest Gump - Feather Theme
One item on our must-do list. The beautiful piano piece was arranged to be a kalimba duet, and the heaven like background (Eternal Water Church, located in Shangrila Boutique Hotel in Yilan, Taiwan) is perfectly matched to the music.
Play Date (by Melanie Martinez)
It's the first episode of the series "Travel with Kalimba Tree", which aims to showcase the charming sceneries of a place. We chose a simple and relaxing tune "Play Date", let audience keep focused on the background - Stanley in Hong Kong.
Animal Crossing - New Horizons Theme Music
This piece is hard to perform due to three reasons: it's chromatic (need to play tines on the backside of kalimba), it's in the original key of F major, and the finger shaker is added. Hence a lot of coordination is required.
